Itinerary
Starting from Chachapoyas we will head towards the town of Quelucas (2,240 meters above sea level) on a trip of approximately 2 hours (63km from Chachapoyas), where we will be happily received by the tourism promoters, after the welcome and the corresponding registration we will begin the tour of the activities, first, the presentation of the route of the eco museum, iconography, beliefs that are captured in the textiles, then we will participate in the textile process such as:
Tishana: This is the first activity that involves shearing sheep wool. Spinning: This involves twisting several short fibers simultaneously to join them together and produce a continuous strand. Had: It consists of coloring threads using pigments derived from plants, certain rocks, etc. Warping is the activity carried out by women called laboristas. Weaving is the most wonderful stage of the process, in which, using ancestral tools, the threads are transformed into beautiful mantles.
Making: The artisan women transform textiles into beautiful and practical items, finally we will visit the Maky Laypa (Magic Hands) store where the items made by the artisan women are exhibited and sold, finally we will begin the return to the city of Chachapoyas, but before that we will stop on the route for lunch, at the end of the afternoon we will arrive in the city of Chachapoyas.
